What is Bridal Couture?
Bridal couture means a gown made entirely for you — your measurements, your vision, your occasion. It begins with a consultation, moves through sketching and fabric selection, and is built from scratch by skilled hands. Every element, from silhouette to embellishment to closure, is decided in dialogue with the designer.
At Paria Masumi, our bespoke bridal commissions typically take 3 to 5 months from first consultation to final delivery. This is not a long time when you consider what is being made.
What is Bridal Ready-to-Wear?
Ready-to-wear bridal gowns are designed seasonally and produced in standard sizes, available to purchase and wear with minimal lead time. At Paria Masumi, our ready-to-wear pieces are not mass-produced — each is made in limited quantities, with the same attention to fabric and finish as our couture work. Alterations are expected and encouraged.
Choose Couture If…
- You have a specific vision that doesn’t exist yet in any collection
- Your measurements fall outside standard sizing, or you have fit requirements that are difficult to alter
- Your wedding is a major occasion and the gown is central to it
- You want a deeply personal experience and a gown with your story woven into it
- You have the time — at least 4 months before your wedding date
Choose Ready-to-Wear If…
- Your wedding is within 2 to 3 months and time is limited
- You have found a gown in our collection that already moves you
- You prefer a defined budget with no variables
- You love a design and trust that alterations will bring it fully to life on your body

We do not believe one path is superior to the other. A bride who finds her gown in our Evening Collection and has it altered with care is no less beautifully dressed than one who commissioned every detail.
